I bought a D17 a couple of years ago and also own a 460 IH and my brother has a diesel 730 JD. Just for fun we decided to have a plowing contest. Using the same plow(4x16 oliver pull-type) we timed each other plowing. How does that little tractor do it. Plowing at the same depth it out did both the JD and IH. We even took turns driving all the tractors several rounds but the D17 came out on top no matter how it was sliced.
Truly an amazing tractor. Luther.
