I just had the Hydrolic Pump overhauled at the local tractor dealers shop, new seal and O-rings ect. in pump and cylinder. Put it back on and still won't budge. Is there a need to prime it, and if so, how? Any info appreciated!!

If you get no flow, check th ecam lobes on the PTO shaft. Mine were worn to the point of almost no lift, decreasing the flow to the point of very slow lift. If so, replace the shaft or have it welded and ground by a cam or crank shop.

Don't mean to insult your intelligence, but is the reservoir full of fluid and do you have the PTO engaged when trying to use the hydraulics? The reason I ask is because I have a '50 B and could not get the hydraulics to work because I didn't have the PTO engaged. I was used to Farmalls, Ford, and Kubota.

If so, have a helper pull back on the hydraulic control lever (engine off) while you use a lever to lift the implement lifting arms to the full extent of the hydraulic ram travel. Also, make sure that you have the hose connected to the correct outlet. If it is a single hose, it is supposed to be connected to the outlet at the rear of the control valve, not the one on the top.

Then have the helper push the control lever all the way forward while you compress the ram to expel the air and hydraulic fluid.

Do this a few times. If the control valve is working correctly, the system should work correctly when you engage the PTO which in turn operates the hydraulic pump.

Good Luck.
