I have a friend who is looking at buying a 220. He farms with all Allis tractors so really wants this one, but isn't sure of the value. The tractor has bald tires, needs paint pretty badly, needs a new turbo and a re-built injector pump, so he hasn't heard it run and is just taking the guys word for it. He offered $5000 (Canadian money...we're in Ontario) and the guy refused to sell it for that. He didn't want to go higher and thought it was a more than fair price. What's your comments on this? Thanks everyone.
Darren

AC 220s are averaging $5000 US with or without repairs needed. Pump and turbo cost about $1500 for the pair overhauled here in the Midwest. Tires run about the same. Dealer sold a real sharp 210 for $9500 US in Aug. Go to Fastline.com or Ironsearch.com and get an average for prices in you area.
