Would like a breakdown of the Shuttle Clutch for I60 - I600 tractor. I also would need to know if there is a snap ring holding the front and rear chutch hub gear in position. I would like information on adjusting the rear and forward clutch shims. How do you adjust the clutch by removing and replacing the shim and in what sequence? Is it better to do this process of adjusting the clutch through the side plate opening or on the bench? I hope someone can help me with this information.

Eugene, I have an I-60 and I adjusted the shuttle clutch just before I put a new engine clutch in. It wasn't too hard. Best way is thru the access panel, put a big pan under it or drain it first, several gallons of fluid should be in there. The order doesn't matter, front or back. Just loosen the bolts holding the shuttle together and take out equal amounts of shims from all three stacks to get the gap to specs. I think the gap should be .040-060, I would have to check. It wasn't too bad. Now splitting the tractor to do the clutch with the loader on, that was not fun. E-mail me if you need anything else.

You say that you have (had) a I-60 tractor. You must had a front loader with it since you had to do the clutch and you mentioned that you had fun cracking it open. Do you still have the tractor? I ask, since I too have an I-60 and would enjoy knowing other I-60 owners. If you get this message, give me a response and lets chat about them Allis"s. :) David

David, How many of the D15 backhoes were made? I'm planning on buying one tomorrow but have had trouble getting info on it. From what I can tell it is the D15 backhoe gas engine. David
