I have an allis 200 that has 1st low 2nd low 3rd low 4th low range. now on the high side i have 1st high and 2nd high sometimes 3rd high and no 4th high. i have done a pressure test on it and i am even more confused. low range 400lbs high range 400lbs neutral 400lbs. i have taken apart the selector valve cleaned and got same test results. i don't have an "old" allis dealer around and the ones i have just want to replace the power director and they are not even sure if that is the problem. could there be blockage in a line or is it the pump. i can't see it being the power director as 1st and 2nd high don't slip at all. i pull a 24ft ac cultivator and harrogator in some pretty tough ground. any help woil be very much appreciated. p.s. what is the hydraulic flow rate for the power director.

David, It's been a few years since I used the 200 but if those pressures are correct, I would guess the main clutch may be slipping. Can you hook it to something on the PTO and see if that stops working in 3rd and 4th high? Chances are if the PTO stops and the tractor stops go for the clutch.
