there is a 180 diesel comming up for sale is there any pros or cons to the diesel over the gas? Did the 180 have the same problems as the 190's tranny and rearend? Would like to put a loader on the 180 is there a preferred matched brand of loader for it. Thanks Shawn

We run a diesel 180 with a loader. Yes the tranny does have its problems, it likes to jump out of 2nd uphill and 3rd downhill. I'd rather have the diesel since it is more powerful, the 301 is a good motor. The loader on it is an old Dunham-Lehr model.

The diesel would run cheaper than the gas. It's the same 301 that's in the 190 with a 2000 RPM rated speed. I don't believe they had the tranny problems like the 190's as the horsepower is significantly less.
