I have 2 1943 WC's and 1 '44 WC, Among the things I found were Dirt Dobber nest in Carb and manifold, water damage to exhaust valves, water in transmission from leaking shifter boot. Also check brake bands. Be sure to clean and seal gas tank .Just a few of the things I found... Good Luck on yours.

Here's something to consider. I'm currently fixing up a '41 RC and decided to put a plastic 3 gal gas can inside the fuel tank (I cut out the front end of the tank so it doesn't show when the cowl is on. The original tank had so much tar in the bottom that it was hopeless.

Now I have a question for someone with 3 WC's. What kind of lube goes in the rear wheel hubs? Both of mine are dry when I remove what look like drain plugs at the inside bottom of the hubs but I feel like the hubs might have had gear lube in them or something. Am I making sense? Where is the filler hole if I'm supposed to put lube in them? I guess I need to take a wheel assembly apart to understand the whole setup.

Rex
