YOU ALL ARE NOT GOING TO BELIVE THIS: IT DID TURN OVER!!!!! !!!!!, by hand very slow, I spun it 3 full times no hang ups!! THE serial number is 208663 this # came off the shifter housing, towards the front of the tractor. to help it has a wide front end, 13.6x28 rear and 6.00x16 front, looks like mag. ingnition not sure! ( it is driven off the right - front of engine, has a housing about 10 to 11" long then the drisrtibutor makes an L straight up it also has a coil farther back about 8". as soon as i figure out how to get SNAP SHOTS off of the camcorder i will have some pretty ugly pictures for anyone that has an e-mail--- i am computer illiterate! but do know how to attach a pic. to an email. maybe one of you can coach me through a web page or how to put it up on this page.

The no. from shifter housing is a casting no. for a WD shifter. Possibly even same no. for WC or the 45.

Hi Matt-I sent you Bryan Smiths web site with the serial # location for AC tractors. Should be able to ID your tractor from this. If you come up with a good SN post it and we can give you a year. I agree with the other posts - you have a WD Or WD45 probably with distributor and not mag. ignition. Let us know what you find out. Jack

ALaske, i thought you had a C! the rear wheel size you gave is for a WD. THE C would porbably have 24 inch. DOes your tractor have a C channel frame about 6 inches tall running from the rear axle down both sides of the engine and up past the radiator? Probably sticks out several inches in front of the radiator. You serial number on the bigger tractor is on the left rear alxe housing by the brake cover. The small tractor has the serial number by the shift lever. You probably got a spring loaded pan seat, etc. ill send you a picture if your e-mail works.

Matt, we really need a picture, because the serial number will only work on a WD45 but the location that you describe for the serial number is suspect. Only the WD/WD45 has a serial number anywhere near that high, and it is located on the rear of the rear axle, left side between the spring hole and the brake adjusting bolt. The wheels and tires also point to a WD/WD45.

If the ignition drive is in an "L" as you describe, then it's a distributor. Glad to hear it's not froze up. Maybe the cold in Alaska keeps things from rusting. Check for spark, clean the carb, maybe do a compression test and see if she'll fire.
