This carb has been freshly rebuilt. But i still do not understand why it leaks when the needle and the float work just fine.

Been through this Glen... Try and find a kit with a Viton-tipped needle--it will seat better. If not, take a small wrench and GENTLY tap the needle into the seat a couple of times to settle it in. Mostly though, you'll wind up cutting the gas off at the tank when you park the tractor. It's 2004 and with all our technology today, no one can seem to make a needle and seat that will seal like they did 50 years ago when the things were new. Good luck.

May still have dirt or scale getting in it? Make sure the float isn't bent and rubbing on the bowl housing someplace hanging up. Hold the float in a pan of hot water with pliers and watch for bubbles indicating a hole in float. Wrong float and needle seat kit?
