I tried the Block Seal on the B and no luck with that. I pulled the head and had it plained down. The machine shop guy thought that this was not the cause of water getting into the oil. So I guess I have to pull the sleeves and put new O rings in. Is this hard to do. How much of the engine do I have to take apart, and can this be done in frame. Also is this a "big deal" that should be left to a profesional? Thanks Andrew

Be sure to use a liberal amout of non-hardening gasket sealer on the O rings (Like Permatex) when you put them in...It seals and acts as a lube at the same time..

I would say it was no big deal but have helped fellers that it was a big deal to the the correct show on their right foot. ( so to speak)
I have taken them out with the engine attached to the tractor but every time have called myself dumb afterward because of the problems getting the rods shimmed from under the tractor.
It just seems like it takes a lot less overall time to remove the block and turn it upside down on a coupla wood blocks and pound them out.
To make the job of replacing the sleeves easy as it can be you will need to remove all the crud from the block where the O" rings seal with a flapper wheel. Make sure you can turn the sleeves in place without O" rings before trying to reinstall the sleeves with the O" ring on.

I hoped you checked the small core plugs under the rocker arms. for pin holes they are normaly the cause of water in the oil.
