I have owned my WD for years now. Good thing I have a hand crank to start it. I have gone thru several 6v batteries over the years. I am looking for a schematic for a 12v conversion. Please include all details....Thanks.

A wealth of info right here on this site! Click on "Articles" under "Research and Info" on the LH side of this screen. Go to "Maintenance and Mechanical Information" and scroll down to a couple of different items relating to your question. BTW, I"ve converted 2 WDs and a "45" to 12 volts, but I did it the "hard way"; used all Ford parts. LOL Well,.... that"s all I had lying around; I"m a Ford fan as well as A-C.

you can install a 12 volt genertor and new voltage regulator, or better, just convert to a 12 volt alternator with internal regulator. the 10SI delco from mid 1975-85 is most common. i have a diagram for both gen and alter. spotter@frontiernet.net
