Thinking of changing the governor spring on my WD45 pulling tractor with one off A 170 Allis. How much of a job is this?
Thanks

AC, It doesnt look like a big job. I think 4 bolts on the front & you can have the small cover off. Radator off is a Plus.Might consider a Gleaner E (226 motor also)front gov/engine cover, cause you can adjust the sring on it.Just got a old 45 running with a E motor she sounds HOT! The only down side I found was throttle lever has about 1" of travel.Example good ilde to 3000-4000rpms . Eddie

I changed mine last week with the radiator on. Didn't know if it could be done or not. It took me about 30 minutes. It worked best for me to hook the bottom of the spring first.
