Another bump in the road has come up. On one of the pistons the oil ring had frozen to the pistion. So being dumb I tryed to wedge it off with a srew drive and I broke a chip off one of the groves. The grove right above the oil ring the piece is about 1/2" or so. Do I need a new piston or is it still safe to use? Thanks for the help!
Andrew

Make sure you get a piston the correct size if you are getting a used one. I have picked up used pistons from time to time but take my calipers as well as the old piston with me. I have some that you could have if they could be or would match your old one.

Roger VanCamp has them but I pick out the pistons I buy from him myself.

New piston, other wise you will probably end up with problems in that cylinder.
