I'm searching for the piece of hose from the air filter to the carb. Anybody know where I can find one? I'd like to find one that has the factory form to it if possible. Also, does anybody know if there is an adjustment to get the play out of my narrow front end? It wanders back and forth something terrible. Thankyou in advance.

You can get the (air) hose that you need for your WD locally at most any auto parts store. In fact you can get ONE hose that will provide you with all THREE hoses (upper and lower radiator hose and the air cleaner to carb. hose. You will have to measure carefully and mark and cut accurately, but it "will work" and provide all three hoses. This also works for the WC tractors as well. Get a molded (original equipment type - not a universal corragated type) for a 1977 Pontiac Firebird with a 301, 350, or 400 cu. in. V8 engine. The part numbers (if they have not changed) are: Auto Works #973 or #70973; DACO #7093; Gates #20823. Hope this helps, Gordon in IN

I'm going to give you a telephone # of a fellow who has about 20 acres and a barn full of used AC tractor parts. 715-673-4829. He's located just south of Eau Claire, WI but that doesn't matter because he will ship UPS anywhere. I only went there once for a WD rear rim. Mine had rusted out. He had a rim with the center disc that, except for a little dust, was as good as new. $100. I thought that was very reasonable.
