are the grease seals for the rear wheel hubs on a WC still availible? If so where, if not what are people using in place of them? thanks acwc

Yes, the rear wheel seals are available from AGCO
but the new ones are made of rubber instead of cork. Watch out when you put these in as they
pinch down on the hub very tightly and can get very hot at first. After installation drive around
slowly to give them a chance to "wear in". You may also need to tighten up the bolts on the seal
cover as they wear.
These seals are not as good as the old cork seals
in my opinion. Maybe you can find some NOS cork seals somewhere. Also use only 85/140 gear lube
in the gear housings. 80/90 will leak out past these very primitive seals in my experience.

I purchased the seals for my '39 WC at the AGCO dealer. The only gasket that I had to make was the large cover for the final drives. Everything else I could get. That was a couple of years ago.
