: : : The tie rod end (left) wore out and failed. Contacted Central Tractor (used parts) and AGCO-Allis dealer here in Ohio without success. AGCO dealer says part isn't listed anymore. Need either the ball cage P/N 2072696, or good, used tie rod (complete unit preferred). Is there a more established AGCO-Allis dealer who may still have the ball cage in stock? Any other salvage yards with lots of Allis parts? Thank you in advance for all replies. Enjoy reading this discussion group.....jim : It's bad when ya call the tractor shop and they know who you are by the parts yer lookin' fer. : Oh-well... : Called the local supply house and asked them to run the numbers with basically the same result you had, they can't be had! Even asked them to run the ones for the other side so maybe they could be swapped (right for left sides) to no avail, they can't be had either! : And there are no crosses listed for either side. : I remember working on something (Not a Tractor) that had similar fittings (replaceable guts) for the steering, and I "wanna" think it was an International Harvester truck or four wheel drive. It's been some years ago so I could be wrong... : If you have something like a truck parts center where they actually do brake and driveline work as a main line business not just an oil change shop, you might take the stuff with you and see if they have any ideas. : While I'm thinking about it, what are the lenghts (center to center) of the draft link (part # 2074056) holes. I haven't found any information in the books I have, and have had no reply concerning this on any of the groups. Based on the pictures in the books and scale of other stuff, I've made mine about 35 inches overall center to center with the sway pins about 5 inches back from the three point load, and the lift arm connection points about 20 inches from the draft pins. : Got more questions for you if you have time... : Thanks Hi Mike, Thanks for the information. What I ended up doing was working with the NAPA parts guy and we came up with a ball joint for a Ford Ranger that had nearly identical tapered shaft on the ballstud. I then got help from a local machine shop with a rockport. He modified the tie rod extension to accept the ball joint. Cost a bit of money, but probably no more that the parts would have been from AGCO. By the way, this went back together easily and seems to be working as good as new. I priced seat pans and cushions just to get a laugh and the dealer told me nearly $400!!! I think I'll stay with my aftermarket set-up for now. The original seat frame will go into dry storage. As for your dimensions, I may be able to help with some. My tractor was missing the upper link arm for the 3-point, but the lower link arms were still intact. Let me try to get back to you on this. Talk to you soon. jim
