I have a 1948 model U with a WICO C series magneto on it. My service and repair manuals make no mention of the U ever having a Wico mag. Anyone have an idea of what the point gap should be? Currently set at .013 because thats what the WICO specs are on Farmalls. Any advice?
Thanks.

Set your points at .015" for the Wico C. Most all parts are available new for that mag again. You didn't say if it was base mount or flange mount? Your U if base mount could have came with a Eisemann G4 or a Fairbanks-Morse RV4 flange mount.

Thanks Glen I appreciate the help and will try your recommendation. It"s a flange mount. I assume this is a replacement and not original.
Other than my uncertainty about the point gap it seems to function very well.
Thanks again.

Probably was a replacement but could have been a dealer preference or vendor change? If you need gaskets or anything for that mag just let me know. I don't have any FM-RV4s right now but they can be found for sale sometimes.
