I recently bought a nice 1949 Model B and would like to know what HP the engine is rated at, and what I might try to get the hydraulics working? Thanx much in advance, Chuck

pump and valve are a combo unit. might just have crud and or water in it. should be a 1/4 inch pipe plug near the top on the back side where the hose comes out to the cylinder. take the hose off and try bumping the lever with PTO running. see if it drools or squirts out. dont worry, it only pumps a gallon or two a minute. pump out a quart or two and see it if looks better. if it dont work, it is not hard to rebuild the pump/ valve combo, but you need a book or someone that has done it before. 4 little springs that can break, 4 chekc balls to keep the "hold" position, and a relief ball. not difficult after you see it done once.--- are you using thin oil, hytrans or 20 wt??
