Perhaps just a little good luck for me, but 6 gallons of white viniger @ $2.50 worked better than any sandblasting, power washer, rocks / cement mixer combination I have ever used the last 40 years. Let it sit for 3 days then flush with clean water. It looks sandblasted when you get done. A tank sealer would be recomended for sure to keep if from rusting again. Dave NE IA

Auto parts stores should have a filter than can be put in-line. Maybe Fram HG4?. I know I have a couple in the shop- comes in an orange box, has about quarter inch hoses and clamps in the kit. Needed them when methanol (NOT ethanol) first showed up around here and the p/u fuel tank released all of the tank residue. Have bought a WD or two with the fuel line cut and had those filters installed.
