Correct me if im wrong, but the serial number on a WD45 is supposed to be just behind the left brake cover. Mine doesn't have one. Could someone have sanded it off, or something like that?

The number is stamped on the rear vertical face of the left brake housing. Should be a hole nearby with a brake spring hooked in it. WD45s start at #146607.

Might be painted over real thick. The number is stamped in the back of the left brake housing cover. NO plate just stamped.

Try looking on top left differential brake housing.

If you have the WD operator manual, it does show the serial number there, (4004), on TOP of the housing, as well as on the rear vertical face of the housing, but the number on the rear face is where every tractor number is located. Early ones may have it twice.
