Its a Deutz Allis 5230 from 1988. The bolt holding the gear to the camshaft came loose and then escaped by smashing a hole in the timing cover, the keyway in the shaft disintergrated and the key fell out. Resulting in pistons hitting the valves rocker shaft caps breking etc. We cannot get the camshaft out! tacho drive is out, oil pump is out, lifters are lifted (you cant get them out right?). Do we need to pull it out with a puller? Don't want to break anything else.
Seems very hard to find parts, cant find a workshop manual of any sort. Any ideas? Any help much appreciated

I have a service manual for a 5220 that I can make a copy of the procedure for removing the camshaft and mail to you if you will E-mail me with your address. It should be the same procedure for the 5220 as the 5230.
