I have a D14 A-C tractor. It has developed the habit of grabbing real hard when I apply the right brake, often with a 'bang'. I have taken the brake apart and there is nothing obviously wrong with it. Any ideas as to what is going on?

Thanks.

Usually means the brake components go some oil or grease on them some how. It's usually not visible on the components themselves. Hose down the metal parts with brake cleaner, you may have to replace the bands or shoes if this is the case. The lubricant becomes impregnated in the pad material and once heated, become veeeery sticky. Hope this helps...
