i'm wanting to put a two spool hydraulic valve on the back of a d-17 to control two hydraulic cylinders. it only has a hook up for one now with the control on the steering column. can someone help me with what size spool i need, like gpm and psi?

GPM and PSI is not an issue, as long as you buy parts that can handle the PSI- about 3200psi. Your valve on the steering column provides one-way power. Hook your remote on the tractor to a two valve setup with a return line to the sump. When you need those valves, you need to lock up the integral valve so it feeds your add-on. Then those valves run whatever you need. When not using the add-ons- drop the integral lever to shut off the tractor pump, rather than keep it running and just dumping oil back into the system.

Do the cylinders have to be indepently operated or both in parallel--both up and both down at the same time?? We bought a D17 that had a control valve on the rear fender--it was used to raise and lower a street sweeper. I think I have photos of the setup before I removed it. Series 1 diesel.
