can i put a d17 motor in a wc tractor and what do i have do to do this will it fit and is it to much power for the rear end to handle

Drop in switch. If your WC has Magneto ignition you will need to do something there. Either switch the governor housing or add electric's to the tractor. Keep the guts of the D17 governor with the engine though esp the weights and springs. If you need to open that area up look the weights over REAL close. Make sure the pin holes are good or replace the weights.

I have been told by people who are more knowladgable than I on Allis's that the WC rear end is pretty mich bullet proof. Don't know about the transmission.
