I had a time today cause I got to work on one of the projects here but, was not successful. Is the shift tower supposed to just lift up once unbolted, or is there a trick I don't know with this thing? I don't want to break anything. I think I may have bad plungers. I changed the oil in the trans and still can not shift, all three are lined up in neutral but not according to the gearshift once installed. Any Ideas? thanks in advance.

I just did one.Hard job, tran has to be in (almost) reverse with tention on the reverse spring but not pulled down. You could use two sets of hands. This is how to install.I'm not sure how I pulled it out. I had a shop repair the tower and it shifts fine now.
