is there any reason that syn oil should not be used in my AC B? Seems that it would be ideal for my limited use tractor. Thanx much (in advance), Chuck

If the tractor is freshly overhauled (new rings) I think you should run it with non-synthetic for one oil change to seat the rings.

Mobil 1 grade 15-50 will work great in your tractor. You will see excellent cold weather starting and instant oil pressure, oil consumption usually goes to about 1/2 of mineral oil, cold start noises caused by worn parts is much less because the synthetic oil does not drain off giving dry noisy starts like mineral oil. I Have changed several engines with 150-200,000 miles to synthetic oil with no seal or gasket leak problems. Use it and see how good oil can be. I use it in everything from hot running air cooled engines to heavy worked trailer pulling pickups and 350 + hp 4wd tractors. Here is a link to the Mobil 1 site that debunks a lot of false ideas about synthetic oil.

Might work if its a new engine but probably a bad idae if its not rebuilt. Seals etc don't hold up well to the new type of oil plus it will clean out the engine so well it will probably start to knock. Just my $0.02 worth
