I just purchased a 54 wd or w45, i am looking for a rad and 3 pt hitch parts, all I have is the lifitng bars. I took the rad to a shop here locally and they wanted $400.00 cnd to recore it, so i am wondering if its any cheaper to buy a replacement or will something else work.
Thanks!

They used WD engine blocks in the early WD-45's, the easiest way to ID them is the serial #. It is on the back of the differential below the left brake cover.

I have a good used one from a parts WD I have. Also to tell if it has a WD or WD45 engine look on the right side of the engine. If theres a plate that bolts on to that side its a WD engine and if it doesn't have that plate its a WD45 engine. The serial number for it is on a flat spot on the left side of the rear end just below the brake cover plate.
