After about 4 days of frustration and trying everything I could possibly think of, the radiator hose still leaks. It is the top of the lower hose that continues to leak just a little bit, between the hose and the outlet on the pump. Please help.

heres another fix that i've used on pitted castings...sandblast clean then put a coat of JB Weld over the entire hose bib...let dry and sand smooth...never had another leak from that area again...period.

I had a CA like that once, I used "The Right Stuff" (Like a silicone on steroids), you won't even need to put a hose clamp on it if you get it clean and let it dry for 24 hours like Old said.

Alex... the pump casting may be porous around that area. If what "old" suggested about using silicone sealant doesnt work, you might try some Permatex #2 in the same manner.
The metal must be clean in either case for them to seal. Scrub with a metal brush & lacquer thinner and allow to dry b/4 applying the sealant.
Wear eye protection when using lacquer thinner

Ive had that happen a few times and heres what I did. I drained the system, removed the hose AND DRIED THE INSIDE OF THE HOSE and the part it goes on. Then I put a bead of silicone on the part and also one inside the hose. Then slip the hose on and tighten up the clamp and walk away form it for 24 hours. Then after the 24 hours fill it up and go. So far that has always worked but isn't the best way but as I said it works
