I am trying to figure out how to mount a set of old style fenders on my unstyled WC. But I cant figure out how. Do I need a cast bracket like the newer WC's have that mount to the rearend and fender? Cause I dont have any. If thats what it requires, does anyone have a set for sale?

Question 2 ....This motor is suppossed to be a WD 45 motor. The serial # says WD339XXX . Is there a casting # or anything I can go by?

thanks, AC

The cast bracket on top of the brake housing is not the same between styled and unstyled WC tractors. If my memory is right, you use a forward hole on one bracket and a rearward hole on the other- only one hole per fender. There is also a half inch diameter rod between the tractor frame and the lower front of each fender. Those rods are easy to make- just determine the length and thread each end. If you find thed right brackets, make sure the 'ears' of the holes you need are not broken off- otherwise you need to weld a nut in place to manufacture a hole in the correct location.

Mounting update: Left and right side brackets are the same on an unstyled WC, but have only one 'ear'- that's why one is forward, one toward the rear. Fender also has a couple bolts to the rear of the axle, lower edge of the fender.

You have a WD motor. The WD45 motor serial number starts with a 45-XXXXX. It is possible that your motor has 45 parts inside.

If its a true WD-45 engine there will be no side plate on the right hand side of the engine that bolts on. Now if its a WD engine with WD45 parts in it there will be that side plate on the right side of the engine.
