Looking at a power unit out of a Gleaner (thats all I know) Its a 6 cyl diesel its physically smaller than a 426. Its about the size of a chevy straight 6. Anyway, on the tag on the side of the block the "series" is "2800" I guess thats the model...how big is this motor? I want a 301 diesel, but a d-17 motor will do. thanks, AC

I think it will bolt in the diesel 45, but I am not sure if it would be to long or if the radiator or linkage would be hard to make work.

A D17 diesel, D19 gas of diesel, most cockshutt 40 or 50, and some combines used a 230 and 262. These engines are all 6 cylinder Buda's like you 45 diesel.

The 6080 style motor was used in some combines and I believe would bolt in. A turbo four banger may not be a bad choice.

The parts would be very easy to find to convert your tractor to a gas four banger. An E gleaner combine, AC 100 combine, WC, WF, WD, 45 Gas, D17 gas, 170 gas, or 175 gas engine will fit with conversion parts from a WD or 45.

The 2800 series engine was what early non-turbo 190 tractor used for a engine. The 190 XT , turboed engines were a 2900 series. The 180 deisel also used the 2800 series engine.

If the series is 2800 and it is naturally aspirated you have probably taken it out of a F or early F2.

Same engine as a 180.

About 90 horse in the combine. 292 chevy was the gas version in that combine.
