What kind of gauge do you use to check hydraulic pressure? The manual shows a big metal box with four guages and several hoses coming out of it, looks expensive. I am working on the power director on a 190xt

The big box with the gauges and hoses is a flow meter/load tester. It was generally a dealer tool, however OTC tool made some of them to each manufacturer's specs. I have a IH flowmeter that I have tested various makes of tractors-most of the same era are interchangeable.

you can use most any gauge rated for the psi you are checking its a good idea to have it a little higher than the spec you are checking in case it is set hi or something stuck. on the p.d. it is nice to have 2 gauges so you can shift it and make sure one goes up and the other goes to 0. you will need some hoses to reach the seat so nobody gets run over
