Get the shop manual from Agco, and follow the directions-that's the best way.

You start by having a feeler gage, a 5/8" box end wrench, and a screwdriver. Next the get number one piston to TDC on the compression stroke. That will have both rocker arms up as high as they will go. You then take the 5/8" box end and break the lock nut loose on one rocker arm. With the wrench on the lock nut you take the screw driver and adjust the gap between the rocker arm and the valve end so the .012 gage will slip thru snug. You then lock the adjusting screw by tightening the lock nut. Next do the same to the other rocker arm on number one cylinder. Move to number two cylinder and do the same at top dead center. Next jump to number four cylinder and do the same again. Then go back to number three and do the same. At this point you can start the engine and warm it up. While warm torque the head and then reset the valve setting to the book setting. Without looking I think it is .010 but .012 will work as well.
