I just returned from a business trip to London. Gas there is about $8 gallon. It can always be worse...

i know that i'm only 17 but my friends and i had a pretty serious conversation at lunch the other day about air powered cars, and we got in to it pretty good, a teacher had to tell us to calm down, but i think i have a good idea on how to make a compressed air powered car work, and it would be fairly simple, but nothing cheap anymore. i hate the $3.23 gas prices too. I remember .89 cents a gallon, unbelieveable isn't it. but atleast i have a truck to get me to school and do all the farm stuff. its better than nothing. My grandpa tells me that i should buy a horse like he had when he was a kid, but i'm seriously looking for a diesel truck, and run it on some of that biodiesel.

as long as the big oil companies are alowed free reign, nothing will change. when theoil companies was no longer satisfied with the already inflated gas prices, they started to have a "series" of "explosions" at their refineries . if gas prices ever get back lower, the same thing will happen again!i think we should do like the french and put research into compressed air powered vehicles which wont pollute and would free us of oil companies. one i.u. professer fixed up a car that would run up to 30 mph on compressed air. unfortunatly in this corupt enviroment thatthat exists, the oil companies and their honchos would buy up the patents and shelve them or or tie up the new technology in courts by coming up with some false science to destroy it.

Dick is absolutely right. Besides that it is a supply and demand issue that controls prices. If you really want to help, then write your congressman to vote for more refineries and more domestic exploration.

That will work like sand thru a grease gun. The gas will be purchased on the 14th to get to work or where ever the boycotter wants to go and then buy gas on the 16th. If you want a boycott to work dont drive for a week or longer. It is silly to think that the same amount of driving and not buying gas on a single day would make any difference.

I go some months three days in a row without an order and my sales can still be higher at the end of the month.

If we want the prices to go down. All we have to do is start car pooling, consolidate trips to the grocery store, etc. Simple supply and demand at work. There is no incentive for the gas companies to change. I hate to say this but higher prices will bring more research and technology to find alternate sources.
