That is an aftermarket 3 point conversion. WD45 tractors never had a Fergie type 3 point from the factory. Certainly AC dealers sold aftermarket conversions as early as the 1960's. Good running WD45 tractors sell for around $1500 today.

Arthur

I bought our WD45 from 86 yr old farmer and he bought it new. He had bought a plow, scoop, and terrace blade at the same time. The bracket in your photo that the lift arms attach to in the front looks to be exactly the same as on ours. Also the lift arms look to be the same. The lift arm links that connects to the snap couplers are different and also the top link connector to the round stock is not the same. Ours also have 2 more lift arm type sway bars that connect to that front bracket and extend to the back end of the lift arms. He said it was all Allis factory attachments but who knows. Allis had factory manuals for each attachment and I have never seen one for a "Terrace Blade".

the wd/wd45 did not have a fractory three point hitch. that is a after market or home made one.

Allis didn't put three points on their tractors until the late 60's. This is after market - a good after market.

All tractor manufactures except Ford & Ferguson began installing 3 points about the same time, after Ferguson's patent right ran out. AC's hitch was an attempt to copy Ferguson as close as possible without violating Ferguson's patent. Your hitch is an aftermarket.

That is an after market set up. Could have been dealer installed but still its after market. Sort of like the sherman or howard trannys in the fords.

they did come with three point. one in the snap coupler bell, and two in the hands on the lift arms! worked quite a bit better than harry fergesons setup, but implements can be hard to come by. that setup in the pic, however, is most certainly not the way it came from west allis.
