I have an old Forklift with a D262, the same as in the D17 and D19 tractors. The engine is bad, plus is missing intake and exhaust manifold, plus one injector is missing. Does anyone know where I might find another D262 that is complete, or find parts to complete my engine so I can rebuild it?

If you do not need to keep the forklift diesel, you might install a G-262 power unit from a C-II Gleaner. You also MIGHT be able to use the G-230 power unit from the A's and A-II and VERY EARLY F's before Allis went to the Chevy engine. I know the intake/exhaust manifold is the same for the G-262 and the G-230.

no, the forklift must stay diesel, we have a farm with hispanic workers and everything right now runs on diesel, if you put a gasoline tank out there they would be filling up our brand new tractors with gasoline and other stupid things like that!

Sometimes cheap labor can be rather expensive after all!
