A friend of mine was telling me that I should put the manifold of a 7000 allis on my 185 along with the turbocharger. How much workis involved? Will it damage my tranny or engine? Thanks in advance

Ive had a turbo on 180-185,s for years ;the 301 luvs them and as long as you dont turn the pump up too much and weight the tractor too heavy ,youll gain on fuel economy and can pull implements made for a 185 faster if the ground allows; cheap +easy horsepower!!!!

I agree with Jacka I wouldn't because the rearend is an upgraded version of the D-17 with drop final drives. it's pretty well maxxed out at the 185 level.

I wouldn't. Unless you like the sound and don't pull anything. Engine would hold up fine as it is the same as in a 190XT.
