Is there any insurance companies out there for collectable old tractors?

Tex: I would sure encourage you to check with your insurance agent on your ranch policy. All of the companies I deaal with in Ok. do not cover the farm tractors unless they arelisted on declaration page or under a farm property umbrella. The farm property umbrella requires 80% coverage on farm personal property. this would take in all of your equipment & trailers. James

We have our insurance thru Liberty Mutual out of MA. We have home and farm with them. I bet they can help. We have been with them for years.

I would say that Hagerty would be your best choice for tractor insurance if you do not use then as farm tractors. They offer extremely good coverage for the tractors as long as for show, . If they have been altered for pulling, I have not had any luck placing them there. They have a good market for Classic cars, Classic pickups for show, Classic motorcycles and Classic Boats, even wooden Chris Craft. They carry an A+ rating. They can be found at www.Hagerty.com. I am also an independent Insurance agent in OK. and write with Hagerty as a Broker. Jamesin ok

I have eight tractors insured with Hagerty Ins. (800-922-4050) On a total declaired value of about $40,000.00, if I remember right, it costs me $246.00 per year. They are covered here at home, transporting them to a show, as well as at a show or on a tractor ride, etc. They will not cover any one of them if they are to be used. Example: plow my garden or push snow, for hire or not.

I have heard of two companies that a few people have had good luck with.

Both of these companies are in the UK. Are there any US companies?

When I checked with my local insurance companies, their rates were about 20% of the value. No bargain there.

I insure 5 classic cars valued at between $6000 and $25000. Total insurance is $400 per year for all of them.

I believe my ranch insurance would cover acts of god like tornado or lightening. But it would be a mess to figure out because I can't justify having 16 tractors. I do use 6 of them regularly so I suppose they might be covered but not the other 10.
