To remove the oil pan do you have to break the tractor in two? Thanks amo

Some pans are longer across the corners. Some will come off without moving the front axle pivot plate forward and some will not. I posted a picture of the two differnet pans a coupla years ago. Not sure what album they are in. If I run across them I will repost the picture.

With just a little jockeying around, the pan will come off with the braces in place. If i remember correctly - it slides out 'flat' over the braces once one corner is rotated.

I have a 1939 with a wishbone front axel and two braces off it and I had to take the front axel off to get the pan off. good luck Dennis

Had mine off recently. Thought i was going to have to remove more to get it off but had one more try and off it came. You have to try several different turning movements to get it out, and here's a tip... Have a practice run before installing the gasket and any sealant. Ensure that you have the right movements or you may damage the new gasket etc.
God Bless,
Rex
