I have a '41 Case V and would like to put a set of steel wheels on the back (instead of the 24" rubber that was there). Don't ask me why I want to do this, I guess I just want a steel wheeled tractor for some strange reason. Did they ever make them on steel? I believe the axle shaft is 2" with a square key slot. Any ideas what might fit?

A friend of mine is looking for a 1940-41 V Case rim. It has 11.2 X 24 tires. Are you selling yours? Any help I could send his way would be appreciated.

Thanks
GM

Found this information today thought you might be interested.

The V series was built in 1940 to 1942. They were built largely from other suppliers; engine from Continental Motors (same as Massey's model 101r Junior). White Case casted the transmission and rear housings. Gears made by Clark Company. All units had a foot clutch pedal. Production ended in october 1941. In 1940 V priced at $605 (on steel), $645 (on rubber). Total units made 16028

I have some pictures of the VAC that followed the VC on steel front and rear it appears that the rear cast iron center hub that was used on the rubber tired tractors was used for the steel wheels, with channel extensions out to the steel wheel rim. I could probably get a copy of this and send it snail mail. Hope this helps. Let me know.
