OK we adjusted the clutch and the clutch now disengages. Tried to put it high range to see if the clutch slipped and the tractor still drives in low range. It feels as if it locks in, but still wants to stay in low range. The clutch is adjusted as far as it can go now. I didn't think this would have any affect on it. Any ideas.

I looked at a Case 930 Comfort King (1964?) for sale in Nanaimo, BC Canada for $3000 CAN. Could you suggest if this is a fair price? I have no idea of how many hours or how worn it is. It has a blade on the front with a hydraulic lift. No other attachments. Tires look OK - some cracks on the front ones but not too deep. The seat is rusty and held up with a block of wood.

Anything I should watch out for?
Thanks

Dan, We have four 930s on our farm three CKs and one standard. I'm assuming your looking at a standard no three point and possibly a hand clutch. Good over all tractor. Things to look out for are water in the oil and brakes. They are cheap horse power and very economic to run. We paid $900.00 for the above mention 930, but it was a deal you don't come across very often. For $3000.00 I think you should be able to find a nice 930 Comfort King which I prefer over the standard.

Your right. I just couldn't get over that it actually felt like it was shifting. We dug into it shortly after posting my message and found the shift rail to be broke where it connects with the other shift rail. Just have to wait for parts now.

Sure sounds like your shifting fork is out of the gear in the trans. You can feel the rail shift but its not moving the gear. The detent balls will click into the rail making it feel as if it shifted. Bob
