my brother recently inherited a plow and the owner said that it was a Case plow. However, there is blue, orange, and even green paint on pieces. it is a 4 furrow plow and one thing that i have noticed is that on all the part number that are stamped on the parts, there is a SA in from of letters. Is this a Case plow and could anyone give me any info on it?

for more pics, look here: Link

I am restoring a 2 bottom IH plow and the rims hubs coulter yolks hitch and trailing wheel look a lot like the parts from an Ih plow if you look at some parts or grind off some rust everything was Stamped with IHC that sould answer your question

Offhand, I'd say it's an IH. The configuration of the beams, the lever quadrants, and the plates where the hitch attaches to the beams looks like IH to me. Furthermore, above the tailwheel, there is a protruding rod which is used to lock the tailwheel for transport.
And yes, Case did make 4 and even 5 bottom plows in that time period.
