I was told that the large tooth gear in the rear end of a model c will fit in a model cc? Is this true.I am trying to slow down a model cc. Thanks for any input.

Any ohter options to slow it down? I have 36" tires on it now and do not really want to change that. I like to pull dead weight and i thought this would be cheap and easier than doing engine work. Thanks for the info.

I have C we pull div 2 it was very fast with 14 9 28s. It was around 4mph or faster at the rpms we were running. I didnt think rear sprkt would change what i wanted. So i done my homework on DC tranys. They have 3 diff front input gear sets. We took all the trans from a Dc and put in this tractor. I looked thru several of my junk tractor till i found the middel gear set. I cant remember which first gear we ended up useing. The DCs also have 2 or 3 first gears available. It worked perfect the tractor now under the sleds weight at take off wide open throttle runs 3.2. You just back off a tiny bit the you can open it up later or just let it pull. We did have to do some small modification to it to get it all to fit. But it wasnt bad at all and we just dont use 4th gear. Hope this helps Thad.
