Carb trouble on 49 VAC

Where do I begin? How about saying "I'm not a carb man" to start.
Anyway, the carburetor has been rebuilt but I'm still having trouble with the tractor running at high rpm. It idles fine but as I throttle up it chokes up. If I remove the high side mixing jet(sorry for the poor use of terms)she runs like a champ. If I thread it back in just slightly it will cut out and die. I've had the thing apart to check for blockage and have checked the fuel line as well. My sediment bowl is clean as is the tank.

Where do I go from here?

Tim

Do you get excessive black smoke as you throttle up, or does the tractor kind of just sputter out.
Removing the high speed jet should result in a very rich condition. If completely removing the screw improves how the tractor runs it sounds like you have a plugged high speed jet. If that's the case leave the jet in and try adding choke as you increase the throttle setting. If all this helps, disassemble the carb and clean out the jets.

Seems like its getting to much fuel and not enough air.Did you check the air cleaner to see if that was clear? Or did you have this unhooked from carb when you ran it. If that isn't it recheck the float setting.Good luck
