I was wondering if any of you guys that were around when the DC's were new could remember the color of the spark plug wires.

I was looking thru a bunch of old photo's of Case tractors and some of the wires looked black, and some looked almost the same color of the tractor, but it is hard to tell in a black and white photo.

Also did the wires have boots on them or just the metal end?

I'm thinking of making some repo cloth covered wires for my DC's.

Thanks,

Case1950

What a beautiful DC! You need a set of John Saeli's fenders to make it perfect.

Hey! My Dad's new 1951 DC had black wires, rubber coating, not cloth, without boots on the plug end, but I can't remember for sure if it had straigt lugs or 90's, seems like they were straight. We got tired of the dew shorting it out and bought some boots later on. Dad even went so far as to seal it all up with my Mom's finger nail polish. It did have boots on the magneto end. They were copper core.

Thanks for the reply.

That was some good info. I finally found some old fenders for the '52 model. They were almost like new. Finally got them painted and on the tractor. When I save up enough I will have to buy some from you guys for the propane DC.

Thanks,
