What are the differences between a 1070 and a 1090?

I will try this again, the website lost my first reply and put a different one here instead. The 1090 had 250 lb sideframes, 374 lb weight carriage, 3 1/2" rear axles (96" tread), double steering cylinders in the front axle, caliper brakes, heavy lift links and heavy drabar with double rollers, 20% larger radiator and larger trans cooler, and eight bolt front wheels.

Lamont, From 1970 thru 1972, Case built a few hundred 1090's, which were basically beefed-up 1070's. They used the 1070 engine, with heavy duty front end, 3-pt., radiator and brakes. There was a question on here some time back about production numbers, and it seems that in 1970, about 375 were built, with much fewer being built in subsequent years. Total production was about 525. They came in Western and Delta models, with either the 8 speed or powershift transmission. I have a 1970 1090 Delta with 8 speed, which weighs in at a little over 16,000 lbs. with wet 23.1X30 single tires and wheel weights. Tractor pulls well, but the cab is very noisy, which is typical of that vintage tractor. Case quieted down the cabs a lot between 1970 and 1973 through better soundproofing and upholstery. I'd sure like to restore it, given the limited numbers built, but it would probably still see the field! Hope this helps!

No. I'm talking about the one with a 451 cubic inch 6-cylinder. Weighs about 12 to 13,000 lbs. just guessing.

Hello; I need some help..I bought a 1070 case tractor and am unsure where the hydralic fluid is put in..I think it is in the back near the 3-pt hitch..there is a short dipstick there and that is my best guess...want to be sure..... thanks. if u know please tell me thanks

There were a few 1090s made in the early 1970"s. They were basicly 1070s with some heavier parts off 1170s such as front axle, drawbar, and caliper style brakes.

I've only seen a few 1090's but aren't they 50 hp or less? 1070's are around 110 hp and comparable to a 2090. Apples and oranges in my opinion.

Different 1090. This model was made concurrent to the 1070.
