1070 hydraulic check

My 1070 won't lift implements via remotes and the lift arms don't move at all. Power steering is OK, but the power brakes require too much pedal pressure. Powershift works fair. Assuming it is the hydraulic pump, what is the easiest way to check the dual-output hydraulic pump pressure? I would appreciate any ideas.

Just rebuilt my 970 dual pump last winter. Was able to get new wear plates and seals from my dealer. Took the housing to my local machine shop and they made a few bushings to tighten up the ends in the aluminum housing. We've got all kinds of pressure now.

Don't forget to check those filters too.

Easiest way is to hook a flowmeter to the remotes. Problem is not many people have one. Or just tear the pump off and open it up, probably find the aluminum housing has scuff marks or gouges and unfortunately they don't sell rebuild kits so it is around $600 for a reman pump. Don't ask me why the tag on the pump says reman yet even the Case dealers can't get the parts to rebuild them.

Thanks, JoeBob. I will pull the pump and see what it looks like inside. Low hydraulic pressure might explain why someone who had the tractor before me had shortened the springs on the pilot spools on the powershift unit.
