I am having trouble with the hydraulics on my Case 2290. They will not work unless you push in on the clutch then they work fine. They will work fine if the trans. is in the 3rd powershift position (without clutching) but you have to clutch the tractor if it is in the 1st or 2nd position. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks

Kind of a long shot, but you might check C1 feeder tube before splitting tractor. Located on top of bellhousing under big one of 2 big plugs( takes 1& 1\4" wrench) side by side. Don"t know which plug is for C1 or C4 tube. This after press checks as Turbo suggested.

The tractor has a massive oil leak in the power shift C-1 clutch circuit. Most likely the tractor will need to be splilt at clutch housing to inspect C-1. Do a little more testing first.
