I have the chance to buy a 1941 Case VO complete but stuck. They are asking $1500.00 for it, does that sound reasonable. Thanks for your time and help. Roger

Hi roger, if the tin is good and the trans appears to be fine I would say 1500 is worth it..

The original "V" series is worth a significant amount more the "VA" series as there were alot less produced...

Even with the stuck engine the orcard trim would be worth it plus the old F124 continental is a very cheap motor to rebuild I have a '42 VC and took pictures of the splitting and the engine.. I am currently putting the motor back together right now!

If you have any questions please feel free to contact me -- I have alot of information on these tractors..

They are cool machines, with all the "VA" series out there, its neat to see the "V" models pop up every now and then ...

I'm confused, is this a DV or a VO? Generally the letters contained in the serial number indicate the model.

Both are orchard tractors and relatively rare. If it is complete and has orchard tin (fender shrouds) it is probably worth $1500.

Hi, You are right, I went to see it today and it is a 1941 DV(vineyard) model. I got some good pics. It appears all the sheet metal is there but with a few ding and dangs. Also has a 58 or 59 Farmall 450 diesel(stuck) Hi-Crop single front wheel forsale for $1500.00 Thanks for your info, I am new to farm tractors. Roger

I wouldn't give that much for a tractor that doesn't run...Also depends on wheather it has all of the orchard sheet metal, or not...They didn't make very many VO's...Also depends on where it's located....Mid-west seem to bring more money for them....Good luck
