another note if the auto adjustment is screwed out to the max and the disc's are not burnt or oil soaked you can remove one of the shims under the cover back off the adjust nut to add more life to the disc's, if you do this put shim on out side of cover to save it when you put in new disc's you will need these again when new these had three shims for three wear adjustments also make sure the balls and return springs have not been hot from park brake being left on, coils on springs should be closed and balls will be bright silver color not dull this indacates heat and will not function properly and or release

After you do as Dcase said next you need someone to work pedals an you need to see if it is moving an self adjuster is operating properly. Since tractor has not been used for while they may need to be freed manually an adjusted. 1070 have good brakes if all is in good shape. If slave cylinder seems to be working properly you might have to remove covers an check for oil leaks- worn out lining-an clean all parts including steel balls. Tractor has 3discs-on each side. Not as big job as it soundds. Had 1070an ran it hard for 7000=+ hrs good tractor

Try to open the bleeder screws on the brake cylinders while the engine is running. There should be a low static pressure that should push any air out. Set the screws after the air bubbles stop coming out. Good Luck DK
