I have but one Case an 830 COM Diesel that my uncle purchased new and I like it. I found a real nice 1030 with straght orig cab going on auction close to me here in Indana at a large (452 tractor ) auction in June. Would I be as happy with the 1030 as my 830 ? Would it pull 6 bottoms in sand ok ?

I got Aummanns flyer the other day. The tractor does look good and the cabs mounts and sits between the fenders for easy removal. Remember the "67 models had a transmission oil cooler added, noticable in a left side view picture, because it runs down along the oil pan, a definite plus if your going to work ground with it a lot. That one will probably bring the $4-4500 for the conditon and the amount of collectors that will be at the sale. Like Glenn said 1030"s had a tendency to overheat and a good 930 would outpull a 1030, do not try and turn up the HP. Stick to a 5x16"s and you can plow the way you want.

Yes, you"ll like it as well. It would pull 5 sixteens in fourth gear here in N.E. Kansas red clay hills.

Sand is the operative term. Up here we'd pull 4-14's in our heavy soil, but in light sand I'm sure you could pull 6. You may need some front-end weight and rear fluid, especially if you only have 34" tires. Very good tractors. Don't let it overheat.
